About Trupriv
TruPriv is a consent management and privacy governance platform designed specifically for India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025. Rather than adapting a product built for another country’s law, the team started from the Indian statute itself: consent-centric processing, notices in Eighth Schedule languages, and a burden of proof that rests on the Data Fiduciary.
The core idea is that compliance is an evidence problem. Recording a consent is easy; showing, on request, that a specific person agreed to a specific purpose at a specific time is harder. TruPriv stores every consent as a versioned, signed artefact that captures who agreed, to which purposes, by what method, under which notice version and in which language. Changes create new versions instead of overwriting old ones, and every write is hash-chained to the one before it, so the audit log is tamper-evident.
Before any processing happens, a validation gate asks four questions: does consent exist, is it still active, has it expired, and does the intended use fall within what was agreed. If any answer is no, or a check cannot complete, processing is refused. Withdrawal takes effect in real time, with downstream processors instructed to stop.
The platform has four modules that can be adopted together or one at a time: Consent Management, Cookie Management, Data Governance and Privacy Governance. Together they cover the consent lifecycle, Data Principal rights and grievances, cookie and tracker control, personal data discovery and mapping, DPIAs, third-party risk and incident handling.
