I think everyone should be their own DRep. It avoids centralization of the voting power and allows you to voice your opinion
I never planned on being a DRep but after some consideration I decided to become one. Main reason: to represent myself but others are welcome.

I will continue supporting the infrastructure as an SPO, and I will try to focus as a DRep in what's best for Cardano; decentralization, security, innovation and mostly prevent milking funds from treasury (aka Guardian of the Galaxy)

Single pool operator. I have been a stakepool operator of the pool ALOOP since 6/2021 on Mainnet and 1/2021 on Testnet.
I have worked as a System Engineer for the last 15 years with extensive IT background since early '90s
I stay informed about the development in Cardano, member of xSPO, CSPA and a passive member on Intersect Discord (mostly reading and taking notes)
